Like a Duo is a creative studio of artificial intelligence, design and film in São Paulo. We use AI in everything: campaigns, films, key visuals, identities. But the tool comes second. Before it come the concept, the narrative, the intent and the positioning. Those four are still decided by people. AI speeds up what is possible.
Creativity is what makes it mean something.

The prompt is the last step, never the first. Before it there are four decisions no tool makes for anyone.

Concept
What the project is saying, before working out how. Reading the brief, the positioning and what the brand already is, to arrive at the idea that holds up everything that follows.

Narrative
The order of things. What comes first, what stays hidden, where the rhythm speeds up and where it stops. This is where a teaser becomes a teaser instead of a run of pretty images.

Intent
Why each choice is this one and not another. Light, colour, lens, framing, texture: all of it for a reason. This is the step that separates direction from accident.

Positioning
Where the piece touches the brand. If the result is beautiful but does not look like theirs, it is no good. Consistency is what makes a campaign add up instead of starting from scratch.

Two twin brothers. One studio.
João and Luis Tavares, born and raised in São Paulo, more than ten years in design and branding. Like a Duo came out of putting together the two things we always did side by side: thinking strategy and building images.
Today the studio works on the line between human creativity and artificial intelligence. Design, to us, is not only form: it is system, narrative and intent.

The whole project happens in house: concept, script, art direction, production, editing and sound. We do not outsource the part that decides.
We work per project and also as an ongoing partner, when a brand needs someone who already knows the territory and does not restart the conversation every time.
